1. SAVE MONEY ON THE VENUE HIRE
Traditionally couples are focused on Saturdays, Fridays and Sundays (in that order) as their wedding days of choice with a greater emphasis on dates that fall between April and September. It’s not hard to understand why – these months normally have the best and warmest weather across the year, and hosting your special day at the weekend means that guests don’t have to take time off work. However, if you host your wedding during the week or in the months around the peak season you will end up with exactly the same sort of wedding but at a fraction of the price. During the Summer in particular, opting for a weekday date could save you thousands! If you’re keen to book your dream wedding venue but budget won’t allow a weekend date, consider either a Midweek House Party or a Mid-Week date to save money
2. YOUR GUESTS MAY HAVE TO TAKE TIME OFF OF WORK, BUT THERE WILL BE ADVANTAGES OF A MIDWEEK WEDDING FOR THEM TOO
The key here is to give your guests notice as soon as you fix your date; that way they can book a holiday around your special day and will not have to take time off in addition to their normal holiday entitlement. Getting to your wedding is also less busy and less expensive during the week than at weekends when airlines in particular front load costs. You will find the same cost saving when you go to book your honeymoon. Getting married on a Tuesday and flying out on a Wednesday is a whole lot cheaper than flying at any time over a weekend.
3. MORE CHOICES WITH DATES
Popular venues book up weekend dates up to 2 years in advance; and some couples struggle to find a weekend date during the Spring and Summer. If you start thinking outside the box however and look at weekdays then you can end up with a lovely Summer or Spring Weekday Wedding Weekend during the week! Our House party Wedding Weekends are a good example of this and include a 2 night’s stay with 16 beautiful bedrooms with arrival on any day from Sunday to Wednesday.

4. GET MARRIED AT A TIME THAT SUITS YOU AND NOT THE REGISTRAR
Just like wedding venues Registrars get booked up too with competition for the most popular time slots on Fridays and Saturdays leading some couples to get married at a time that they did not plan or particularly want. If you choose a mid-week wedding date however this concern normally drops away and you will have free reign to decide on the time to get married that works best for the two you.
5. BOOK THE MOST POPULAR SUPPLIERS WITH EASE
Just like wedding venues and registrars the best suppliers also get booked up well in advance and particularly for high season weekend dates. So, moving your date to a mid-week one will mean that you don’t have to compromise on your band or photographer but can choose the very best.
6. THE SAVINGS YOU MAKE CAN BE PUT TO VERY GOOD USE
It’s the little touches such as sparkler arches, marshmallows around the fire pit or a champagne fountain that your guests will remember about your day and with the savings that you have made with the venue hire your budget will be able to go further.
