A Summer wedding at Brympton House
The most popular months to marry are October, September, June, May, and August, in that order. There’s a reason Summer is the most popular season of the year for weddings… those long sunny days, beautiful blue skies, gardens bursting with greenery & flowers and the chance to make the most of our beautiful gardens and grounds. A Summer wedding gives you the ability to be indoors and outdoors — whatever you want. Here is why a Summer wedding is wonderful.

GUESTS CAN COME
Having a wedding in the Summer could mean that more of your guests are able to RSVP yes. Many people have holiday time to take over Summer and a wedding is a perfect way to spend those free days! Summer dates may also be the only time certain guests are able to attend, like those who work as teachers. Picking a date in the Summer could guarantee that more of your guests are able to attend.

WARM WEATHER
While there is certainly no guarantee that your Summer wedding day won't see a sprinkle of rain or even a full on downpour, generally the weather in the Summer is lovely. And, even though we can not guarantee this, getting married during the Summer months will give you the best chances of blue skies, sunshine and lighter evenings. The warmer weather also allows your guests to wear wedding attire that doesn't need to be covered up with a bulky coat or a wrap, as well as giving you the option to say "I do" outdoors under The Temple.

FLOWERS AND LANDSCAPE
While Brympton Styling: Style By Design are almost like magicians who can create stunning designs and bouquets any day of the year, having your wedding in the Summer can give you more floral options. Popular Summer flowers include Peonies, Roses, Stocks, Hydrangeas and Dahlias. Some of these blooms have a very short windows in which they are in season. If you have your heart set on a Summer flower, for some that's reason enough to set the date for a Summer month. At Brympton, the grass is a luscious green, the trees in the Walled Garden are in full bloom and the flower beds burst with an excellent array of colours. The gardens in Summer offer the perfect opportunity for your photographs.

SUMMER MENU
Nothing says Summer more than a al fresco Pimms drinks reception! Picture the scene: your guests out on the Terrace enjoying cocktails, canapés and garden games on the lawn with the Country House as the backdrop. Wooden vintage crates filled with bottled beers and fruity cocktails all help to create that laid back Summer feel. Al fresco evening food is perfect for Summer weddings - think Hog roasts, BBQ and antipasti stations with meze platters and salad stations served in the courtyard in the Party Barn!
