Weddings are extraordinary. Full of love and laughter, they celebrate the time when 2 people make a very special commitment to each other in the company of their family and friends.

If your budget allows, it is wonderful to spread the love over a couple of days - so that everyone can relax and enjoy the moments that make up the whole.

At Brympton, we offer a midweek version of a House Party Wedding Weekend with arrival on any day from Sunday to Wednesday. The offer includes 16 bedrooms for 2 nights, and because it’s a midweek date you can take advantage of Sage with Zest's incredible catering offer. Bliss!

Of course, there is nothing to stop you (and if funds allow) having a Country House Wedding Weekend across Friday and Saturday. If you do opt for this combo most couples do so on the basis of renting the venue the night before on a Bespoke basis and celebrating in style on the big day with either a Bespoke or Deluxe wedding (for full details of these wedding options please click here). It’s also sometimes possible to add on the night before 3 months before your special day at Brympton House - dependent on availability.

The Day Before

So, this is where the magic begins and you get to do some extraordinary things with the people you love over 2 glorious days and nights. Of course, check-in doesn't have to be on a Friday night - it could be Sunday, Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday!

Allow your guests a lazy check in - any time from 4pm is ideal.

Depending on the time of year you could offer a glorious cream tea either by the fire in the Great Hall or on the South Terrace, to greet your guests as they arrive.

We suggest that you open the Library bar at 6pm (you will need some space away from your guests for the rehearsal) and then choose one of the supper options provided by Sage with Zest to round off one perfect day.

The Wedding Day

After a leisurely breakfast, overnight guests will have the chance to explore the Brympton House garden and grounds which are Grade 2* listed. There's a hard tennis court, croquet lawn, heritage orchard and walled garden to explore - so there's something for everyone. A lovely upgrade is to provide a coffee and doughnut station for guests to serve themselves just like they would at home.

Staying onsite the night before means that you will have the time in the morning to get ready at your leisure.

Other guests who didn’t share your night before the big day celebration will arrive from Midday to find the Library bar buzzing for pre-ceremony cocktails.

The rest of the day will follow your own timeline culminating in an epic party in the Brympton House 1710 party barn!

The Morning after the Night Before (the extended house party)

Some of your guests will no doubt struggle to get out of bed after last nights epic party! So why not extend breakfast into a lovely brunch with trays of Bloody Mary’s and Bucks Fizz alongside the food to really give your guests something to remember!

Alternatively, you could think about hosting a lunch before your guests join the 'real' world again. Something like a hog roast or a Paella works really well.
